PRANIC HEALING AND THE YOUTH

PRANIC HEALING AND THE YOUTH

It is commonly observed that courses/ workshops on complimentary healing systems are attended by individuals in their 30s or even above. I actively promote pranic healing among adolescents and the youth .

The adolescents and the youth today experience tremendous stress due to various factors. They face the challenge of deciding their career ; with this decision, comes in the period of change in friendships and related period of unsettlement ; moving out of family in to hostel and unknown environment; While college does give them an open arena to explore and develop, it also brings with it its own bag of challenges and risks; This also the period of emotional turbulences; understanding and appreciating their own sexuality and the urge to explore relationships through sexual interaction; The years in late school and those in college also offers a platter of experiences which may be tempting yet risky. This period is a mixed bag of goodies and challenges.

Now, let me explain how pranic healing can be an ideal solution . I would rather say, learning the pranic healing techniques may be considered to be in possession of an appropriate tool to strike the right balance.

During the course, the participant learns about the functions of the chakras ; and how the same gets affected when the physical body is sick. The healing techniques come in handy especially to the girls, wherein they handle the premenstrual discomfort effectively with a simple healing strategy . The healing techniques learnt adds up as a first aid toolfor those who move on to hostel as they can effectively handle simple complaints such as cold/ stomach upset / headaches etc and avoid unnecessary medication. The different experiments during the two day workshop provides an insight to the participants the impact of negative thoughts on one’s environment and this is a huge learning achieved. This helps the participant to consciously bring about a change in him / her and also encourage self reflection and growth. The different techniques explained in the workshop come in handy for them to effectivelyhandle some uncontrollable emotional situations. The meditation taught enables them to practice unconditional love and acceptance ; the chapter on law of karma is an eye opener to them and guides them toward the path of inner growth .

Thus a simple two day workshop can work wonders and can turn out tobe a lifelong support for the adolescents and youth. It not only helps them to take care of their health but also plays a role in changing their mind set and gently guides them toward spiritual progress too.
